Over 3 months? Sorry~
Anyway, I spent a couple weeks watching D. Gray Man. I had heard of it before and how people rave over it, but I never really got around to watching or reading it. Well, I happened to be on my DeviantArt talking with a few people over the RP (role-playing) group I joined (Midnight Academy) and someone recommended it to me. Right away, I began watching it. I loved it from the first episode! Totally worth watching.

What is D. Gray Man about?
The genre is fantasy, supernatural, action, and shounen. The original is the manga by Katsura Hoshino. The closest synopsis I can give probably won't be as great as one you can look up on Wiki, but here's the Wiki definition anyway.

"D.Gray-man follows the adventures of 15-year-old Allen Walker, whose left arm can transform into a monstrous claw and destroy Akuma, evolving machines created by the Millennium Earl to help him destroy humanity. As ordered by his master General Cross Marian, Allen becomes an Exorcist, people who can destroy Akuma, for the Black Order, an organization attempting to stop the Earl. He becomes a powerful asset for the Order because he can detect disguised Akuma with his left eye. Allen is sent to recover pieces of Innocence, a substance that gives the Exorcists the ability to destroy Akuma. The Earl decides to call together the Noah Family, superhuman descendants of Noah who can destroy Innocence. Both sides start the search for the Great Heart, the most powerful piece of Innocence that will assure victory to the side that finds it.

During his search, the Earl begins killing the Generals, the Order's most powerful Exorcists. To protect them, the Order attempts to bring the Generals back to headquarters, and Allen and three other Exorcists are sent to search for the missing General Cross. During the search, Allen and Lenalee Lee are nearly killed and saved by their Innocence, leading the Earl and Bookman and his apprentice Lavi, who are chronicling the war, to believe one of them possesses the Great Heart. Meanwhile, the Order learns that the 14th, a Noah that betrayed and was killed by the Earl, implanted his memories into Allen. The memories will erode Allen away until he becomes the 14th. This leads the Order to believe that Allen may betray them." -D. Gray Man Wikipedia

Here's my review for each character!

Allen Walker

Well, he is the main character. He is lovable, too. Abilities and well muscle-toned? Hah, his personality and physical attributes has my expectations of a boyfriend way too high. I mean, I wouldn't be all fan-girl-y about him because there's plenty of seriousness and stuff, but he's not really the kind of character I'd go crazy for.. He cries a lot, too! There's at least like 20 episodes where Allen is crying. Crying makes a man manlier? I can't hate on him, but I'm not completely taken by him either. Neutral?

Kanda Yuu

I'm really not a big fan of tsunderes, but I do question if he does fall under that category. Also, he's not really a bishie in a way. I get bored of male characters with incredibly long hair, and not to mention purple, too. Or is it blue? And again with the muscle tone. Not overdone, the 6 pack going on, not too skinny, the practical set up for fangasms. I don't see Kanda as a major role is a majority of the series, but he does play a good support team. There are those moments where Allen and him bicker at each other, and that adds to comic relief. I see a lot of yaoi with this guy, and I am definitely not a fan of that sort. Kind of a thumbs down-ish.

Lenalee Lee

There has to be at least one female character to stir-up some couple conflict, right? Even though Lenalee is kind of like this optimistic girl who kind of has her moments of being totally useless, I felt a really bad when her hair was cut off (spoiler, duh.). Throughout the fraction of D. Gray Man when she does keep her long hair, all I could think of was Miku Hatsune! There's a major resemblance. I saw plenty of moments where Lenalee could be paired up with a lot of characters. Almost anyone! I give her a sideways-thumbs.

Lavi

No last name Lavi! His name is so cool, a little slang to it. Lavi was my absolute favorite. The personality, the hair, skinny pants/jeans/uniform-thing, muscle-tone that's not too skinny and overdone, and the eyepatch. I don't know why, but I have an undeniable fetish for eyepatches. Maybe it's because I'm a huge steampunk and pirate fan. The way his voice is with the somewhat young and rebellious semi-pubic voice is pretty sweet. His optimism is a boost to his childish ways, and then there are those nicknames! I just find him hot and lovable, absolutely lovable!

Arystar Krory III

Even though he has the creepy old and classical vampire look (and not to mention vampire abilities), Krory is a real baby. And this time, it's not like a real pedo thing with the old dude acts like a moe kid. It's more of a legit cute-but-old-but-still-makes-it-work. His history with Eliade (Akuma lover) is really sweet and sickening in plenty of ways. Krory is awesome. Just in his own way. It's kind of indescribable to present how awesome it is without creeping out people. Loving Krory is real easy!

Miranda Lotto

When she first appeared in the series, I thought she was 40 something years old. Seriously. Her hair was pulled back in a really tight bun and her clothing was like a funeral attire. But when she stood up and used her Innocence and realized her place was much higher than where she was, she gained my respect. Then...when she showed up again in the Edo arc of D. Gray Man, that respect hit rock bottom. Miranda went from wearing this old fashioned long dress to skinny pants, which was part of the Exorcists uniform. That was a huge change in appearance. Her ability (Time Record) was pretty sweet and was a needed factor to win the major battles. A pretty decent character. Even though she's a spazz.

Timcampy

I don't know why I find him so adorable. There's no eyes or limbs besides his wings and tail. It's a friggin golden flying ball for Christ's sake! But still, Tim is so ADORABLE. It's got serious personality. Timcampy + Allan = heart-to-heart-man-and-golem-love. I kind of want a golem like Timcampy now...

Well, I'm too lazy to review and comment about any more characters. This is all I'm doing for today and probably the rest of the year...haha... Next time I finish an anime or manga, I might add a review like this. Ciao~

Adorable Puppies and Mango Mochi

My Name is California! They take in dogs and pups off the streets and nurse them back to health. Dogs in general are absolutely adorable, no matter the breed. Especially when you're taking care of puppies around 2 months old. I brought along a friend whom I signed up to join me to volunteer. My L.A. teacher is big on world peace and love, and she was the one who provided us with this opporunity to help the community in the small things we could do. I live in a pretty secluded life and I don't get chances like that very often. Immediatly, I signed up. Not knowing most of the people in my class in a friend-like way, I invited my friend to join me even though she wasn't in my class. She's a big dog person, and it was the first time eating mango mochi. (We ate at a chinese/japanese resteraunt before going to the store) I suggest those of you who haven't had mochi before to try it. Delicious.

I had a magnificent time helping with 4 Paws 4 U 4 Ever. The puppies kept in a gate were extremely feisty and jumpy. I have plenty of scratch marks and chewed up sleeves. I loved the rottweiler puppy, even though he attempted to chew my favorite Converse shoes to pieces. He jumped on me and he would not leave the gate. I don't own a dog myself, but I would love to care for one! My mom and I don't have room and the time to keep a dog in our living space. However, once we move back to a larger home, we'll get one. The problem she has is when I leave to college. Mom wouldn't have the will to take care of a grownup dog by herself when I'm gone. It'll only be 4 more years when I move out (I plan to live in a dorm).

Natalia and her Favorite Pup!

Tired of Playing Already

I'm so scared that I'll step on
them ):

When my mom arrived to pick up my friend and I to go home, we reeked of dog. Of course we took care of the dogs by playing with them and letting other people pet them by holding them up for them. I had dog fur all over my sweater and new skinny (which I don't wear too often because it's my only pair) cargos. The second I got home, I was rushed into the shower when I took one that morning. Also, right after the shower, I put all the photos on Facebook. I hope my mom reconsidered having a dog because I'm trying really hard to make sure we're prepared to raise one. She'll get the vibe because she reads my blogs...HI MOM! Yet, we're all tired in the end...Right pups?

High School Open House and Killer Intent

According to today's title, today was open house for the high school I will be attending. I have been there before for a play they were presenting, but that was only the auditorium. The rest of the school? I was in total loss. The lockers are half the size of my current one (as I attend junior high, now) and there is so much to do! Credits, summer school, planning college, and all that other grown up stuff. Don't get me wrong, but I'm uber excited for high school. Hah, a word I haven't used in a while...'uber.' Turns out I can't take the high school summer courses this year, but I can take 'bridge' classes. Just going attending as if it were a regular class for 10 days, selected classes of choice.

What's nice is that I'm in honor roll and continuing to french. I'll also be taking a guitar class, too. Not much for my 'future,' but for my own entertainment. My own guitar is sitting in my room, collecting dust. I barely know how to play it, ha...

ANYWAY. At the open house: an introduction to the freshman year. I chose to walk around the school and look at the presentations of the classes. Well, this high school is much bigger than I thought it would be. I was completely discombobulated and I was only in one half of the school. I could have sworn I walked the same hallway a gazillion times! Not to mention, my mom was in a total 'This whole thing is for you, so you ask the questions because I swear I don't have one.' She kept giving me an attitude for not knowing my way around the school! Like 'LOOK. You don't know where you're going. So give me the frigging map because I don't know my way either.' This is where the killer intent kicks in. Mother has the worst egotistical mind I have ever lived with. Oh, and I know ego. Eventually, I give her the map since she's just so smart. End result? She gets us from point A, around point C, and back to point A. I'm still mad at her while she's watching TV in the living room. Mom gives me the worst headache ever. Yet, she's my mom, so I love her. I don't know if I want to take study hall because I have many classes I want to take, but for now, I'll be taking my core classes to get my credits in and out of the way.

P.S.!
I will be making a page on the anime and manga I read and watch. It'll be a while, but I'll definately make one!

RPG and an Otaku's Diet

Well, this is my first blog entry! This whole thing is basically all opinion and my own factual life. To start off, I have no followers/readers. Almost seems as if I'm talking to myself.

Here we are, RPG and an Otaku's Diet. January 23, 2011.

I do my daily Facebook activities in order;

Status Checks

Poke War

Games; Resteraunt City, Pet Society, Country Story, Happy Aquarium, etc.

The loading was taking a while, so my eyes wandered to the advertisements. So that's where it started. An advertisement about Runes of Magic. Interesting title, no? I mean, back in the day (approximately 2 years ago), I was an obsessive MapleStory player. Haha, yes. I played for 5 years, nonstop. I quit because I forgot my pin number, silly me. Throwing that piece of information aside, I was interesting in this new RPG game. It had a nice 'pull' on it: promising me a demon pony that is adorable and able to create a massacure. That is where I lost myself to my gothic domestic love. So, I clicked on so-called advertisement. I'm not a big fan of American or European styled RPG games, more of a japanese style. MapleStory was one of those, most definately. Close to anime styles.

Resuming back to Runes of Magic! I was opened to an introduction video and whatnot. After registering, I turned to the download tab. That's where my jaw dropped. Yes, it's a nicely developed game, so there is a large file to download. But, 6 hours! Insane! But, after reading a review and watching the first 3 episodes of a hilarious guy on YouTube, Nikumatic. His video is absolutely entertaining!

Oh, and it's 9:39 p.m. at the moment. It's still installing.

An Otaku's Diet.

To start off, what is the definition of an Otaku's Diet? Well, duh. It involves food. Let's be stereotypical here. My definition is an average consumption of junk food, soda, magic food that appears in the fridge when you swear that there was nothing before, and plenty of coffee. That was my day. That is how I spent my 13 hours awake. Oh, and did I mention a heavy amount of anime and manga? I probably didn't. So...what am I watching and reading now? Funny you ask. I'm watching and reading a lot! In fact, I'm watching anime right now. Perhaps I'll make a whole tab on what I watch and read. While I wait for Runes of Magic to finish downloading and typing this blog, I am currently watching Ookami To Koushinryou 2nd Series, otherwise known as Spice and Wolf II. Hmm. I might even make reviews on what I watch and read!

Now that that's over and you actually read this whole blog, I congradulate and thank you! Stay tuned for my crazy....actually, too average...life!
